First Reading: Ezekiel 17.22-24

How is God’s handiwork manifest in creation and in the effects of climate change? Reading this text metaphorically, what have I noticed about how God accomplishes his work in my own life, and among other individuals or nations?

Psalm 92: “Lord, it is good to give thanks to you.”

Second Reading:  2 Corinthians 5.6-10

What choices do I make day to day, with the aim of pleasing the Lord? Where am I on the spectrum of being “at home in the body” or “at home with the Lord”? How has this changed during my life?

Alleluia! The seed is the word of God, Christ is the sower; all who come to him will live for ever.” Alleluia.”

Gospel: Mark 4.26-34

What aspects of the kingdom of God do the two parables in the Gospel describe? How is the kingdom of God manifest in our time? What parable best expresses my understanding of the kingdom of God – or how might the parables or descriptions be revised for our time?
