First Reading: Wisdom 1.13-15; 2.23-24
In the perspective of our world, how does the intrinsic “wholesomeness” of God’s creation interplay with the evident corruptibility? What are some causes for alarm, and what signs are there of hope?
Psalm 30: “You have turned my mourning into dancing. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever. I will extol you, Lord, for you have raised me up.”
Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 8.7, 9, 13-15
How does St. Paul’s appeal to the Corinthians speak to me? How has the richness of God’s blessings impacted my life? How do I balance my needs with generosity towards others in need?
“Alleluia! Our Saviour Jesus Christ has abolished death and has brought us life through the Gospel.” Alleluia.”
Gospel: Mark 5.21-43
“Do not fear, only believe.” When have Jesus’ words guided me to healing, or to an answer to my prayers? What advice or experience could I share about faith overcoming fear?
