First Reading: Exodus 16.2-4, 12-15, 31a: What have I been complaining about recently? How does it compare to previous problems I faced? How has God provided for my needs, in good times and tough ones? What instruction or guidance did he also give, to help me through?       

Psalm 78: The Lord gave them the bread of heaven

Second Reading: Ephesians 4.17, 20-24: “Brothers and sisters: Now this I affirm and insist on in the Lord: you must no longer live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds.” What does it look like to live “in the futility of [one’s] mind”? How do thinking and behaviour change with renewal and rebirth in Christ?

What “works of God” do I engage in? Why? How do my hopes and expectations coincide with what Jesus offers and promises?

*Food hamper program: Our next monthly food hamper will be available on Thursday August 8 from 4pm to 7pm at St. Mark's Church basement for those who have registered.

*The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, August 05, for BC Day.  Daily Masses will be celebrated as scheduled.

*Saint Dominic’s Feast Day: on Thursday August 08 at 8am in English and 10:30am in Vietnamese. There will be a light reception after Vietnamese Mass at the church basement.

*25th Anniversary of Profession of Religious Vows of Fr. Minh and Fr. Ha will be celebrated at 7pm Mass on Thursday August 15, 2024. All are welcome to light reception after Mass in the parish basement.

*PREP OPENING: We are inviting all students from Grade 1 to grade 7 who are in Public School and want to receive the sacraments and to learn about the Catholic Faith be part of our Parish Religious Program (PREP). School starts on September 8, 2024, at 9:30 am. Registration ends on October 20. Registration forms available in the parish or at the back of the church. *Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program for Catholic and non-Catholic: Do you want to learn more and increase your knowledge about your Catholic faith? Do you know anybody who are interested to become Catholic? Be a Disciple, Be an Evangelizer! St Joseph’s Parish RCIA program offers Evening classes from 7pm to 9pm. Classes will start on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Refreshments will be served.
