First Reading: Isaiah 62.1-5
With the conquest of Jerusalem, the exiled Israelites lost their place of worship, the dwelling place of God, as well as their homes and culture. What circumstances today do I find similarly devastating? How does this prophecy give hope to the exiles of the time? What is the message for us?
Psalm 96: “Declare the marvellous works of the Lord among all the peoples.”
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 12.4-11
The diverse variety of gifts, services and activities are all given and inspired by God. What gifts has the Spirit given me? What did I notice as they were activated? How do my activities and service align with the gifts? How might we bring individual gifts together in the parish, to serve the common good?
“Alleluia! God has called us through the good news, that we may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Alleluia.”
Gospel: John 2.1-12
When have I experienced an interaction like that of Jesus and his mother, and how did it turn out? What signs from God have helped bring me to faith, or reinforced my faith? How do I apply our Mother Mary’s guidance in my daily life and what fruits have I seen?
