First Reading: Exodus 17.3-7
What complaints or protests have I directed to God? What anger about God have others directed to me, on account of my faith? How did my response to those complaints compare to Moses’ interaction with God after receiving the complaints of the Israelites?
Psalm 95: “O that today you would listen to the voice of the Lord. Do not harden your hearts!”
Second Reading: Romans 5.1-2, 5-8“… at the right time Christ died for the ungodly”. What is the significance for me that Christ died for us “while we were still sinners”? How do I understand “justification by faith”? How do I experience the gift of grace?
“Praise to you, Lord, king of eternal glory! ”Praise to you, Lord, king of eternal glory! Lord, you are truly the Saviour of the world; give me living water, that I may never be thirsty.”
Gospel: John 4.5-42
What happened during my first significant encounter with Jesus? What were my most memorable encounters during my spiritual journey? As the Samaritan woman’s faith deepened, what stages did she go through? How have my faith and relationship with Jesus progressed since the beginning? Where might he be leading me?

This week there is a second collection for the Parish Building Fund – thank you for your generosity.
For this Sunday only, we are delighted to invite you to see and purchase handmade religious articles made by the Sisters of St. Elisabeth Convent (Belarus). Your purchase will help the sisters continue their works with caring for children and adults with disabilities, and their works with the rehabilitation of ex-prisoners, and those dealing with drug and alcohol addictions. Thank you for your support.
In the spirit of Lenten almsgiving, St. Joseph's Youth & Young Adults will be supporting the Sisters of Charity by accepting food donations on Saturday, March 18th for our community members in need. Non-perishable items can be placed in the donation bin in the church parlor after Sunday mass before the 18th. Perishable foods will be collected on Saturday, March 18th at the end of the Church. Thank you for your support!
On Saturday, March 18 the regular 9am Mass has been cancelled. Instead, there will be a Bilingual Mass at 10:30am to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph. Following the Mass is lunch reception. Please be sure to confirm your attendance by signing up in the Church entrance and make sure to include all members attending with you so that our Parish can prepare enough food. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
On Wednesday, March 22nd, everyone is invited to join the Lenten penitential service beginning at 7pm. There will be a sermon given by a guest priest, followed by confession, accompanied by music from the Youth and Young Adult Ministry.
In preparation for our parish celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph, everyone is invited to pray the Novena to St. Joseph, starting on Thursday March 9, after weekday and Saturday morning Masses and Sunday 11:30 am Mass.
During the Lenten Season, our Parish will have “Stations of the Cross” every Wednesday, beginning at 6:20pm. All are encouraged to attend.
Our Parish is always looking for volunteers who are willing to donate their time and talents in various areas such as: sacristans, readers, altar servers, choir members, gift bearers, parking lot attendants and so much more. Please speak with the Mass coordinator if you are able to help or would like more information.
