FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD
First Reading: Malachi 3.1-4
“See, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple… But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears?” What am I offering to the Lord, day by day? How ready am I for his coming? If he comes today, what will he see in his family, the Church?
Psalm 24: “The Lord of hosts, he is king of glory!”
Second Reading: Hebrews 2.10-11, 13b-18
What characteristics do I share with Jesus? How does the fact that Jesus shares our flesh and blood help me live a life of faith, even with trials?

Gospel: Luke 2.22-40
The faithfulness of Simeon and Anna, Mary and Joseph, provided the opportunity for the Holy Spirit’s powerful revelation about Jesus on his presentation in the temple. What insights have I received from the Holy Spirit, directly or through others? What do Simeon’s and Anna’s prophecies about the infant Jesus mean to me?
