First Reading: Ezekiel 18.25-28 

How would I describe the way of the Lord based on my understanding of God’s teaching and my experience? How does the Lord’s message through Ezekiel apply to my situation?

How do I live with the “mind of Christ” in my family and in the communities of work, school and parish? What are the greatest challenges?

Gospel: Matthew 21.28-32

When have I acted like one of the sons? When have I had to deal with responses such as theirs? As I reflect back on my life, how would I evaluate my responses to God? What has God been asking of me recently, and how should I go about it?

*Prayers for the Synod: From October 4-29, bishops, theologians and lay delegates from around the world will be meeting in Rome to reflect on the theme: "For a Synodal Church. Communion, Participation, Mission". They will reflect on how we currently journey together in Christ's mission of proclaiming the Gospel and on the steps the Holy Spirit is inviting the Church to take to grow in that mission for the future. During October let us keep Archbishop Michael and all the delegates in our prayers.

*WALK-A-THON: St. Joseph’s School is having a Walkathon fundraising event on Friday Oct. 6, 2023. Our Pastor Father Minh will join our school children on their walk. Parishioners can support Father Minh in his efforts by making donations on his behalf. Pledge forms are available at the Parish office and at the School office, and our staff are ready to receive your donations. All donations of $20 or higher are eligible to receive tax receipts. Please fill out the pledge form and indicate your preference. Alternatively, you can also support our school children by making donations toward their fundraising efforts. 

*LITTLE FLOWER ACADEMY: is hosting our Annual OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, October 11th at 6:00pm and is accepting applications from prospective Grade Eight candidates for the 2024-2025 school year.  All students wishing to apply must sit the ENTRANCE EXAM on Saturday, December 2, 2023.  For more information, please visit our website (www.lfabc.org) or contact Kathi Wilson, Registrar at [email protected] 

*The Parish Office will be closed on the following Mondays October 2nd and 9th in observance of Truth and Reconciliation Day and Thanksgiving Day.  Daily Masses will be celebrated as per the regular schedule.

Marian Out -Door Procession at our parish: will be held on Saturdays October 7 and October 28 at 6:15 PM before 7 PM Mass. All are welcome.
