----------------------------------

“O God, who have called us to participate in this most sacred Supper, in which your Only Begotten Son, when about to hand himself over to death, entrusted to the Church a sacrifice new for all eternity, the banquet of his love, grant, we pray, that we may draw from so great a mystery, the fullness of charity and of life.”

Holy Thursday [Exodus 12.1-8, 11-14; Psalm 116; 1 Cor 11.23-26; John 13.1-15]

Jesus invites us to his Passover celebration which inaugurates the new covenant in is Blood. How does Jesus’ Last Supper bring the Passover to fulfillment? What does he teach and ask of us tonight? How can I grow in living out his example?

Good Friday [Isaiah 52.13-53.12; Psalm 31; Hebrews 4.14-16; 5.7-9; John 18.1-19:42]

What would it take for me to abandon Jesus or reject his Truth? How does the veneration of his Cross move my spirit today? Jesus planned for Mary and John: what is Jesus’ plan for me?

Easter Vigil [Genesis 1.1-2.2; Exodus 14.15-31, 15.20,1; Ezekiel 36.16-17,18-28 Romans 6:3-11; Luke 24.1-12] Easter Sunday [Acts 10:34, 37-43; Col 3:1-4; 1 Cor 5:6-8; John 20:1-18; Luke 24:13-35] This is the night, the climax of salvation history. This is the night when all creation rejoices! This is the night when heaven and earth are wed! “Christ broke the prison-bars of death and rose victorious”! Now we are “dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus”. But how do I react to that empty tomb? What inspires me to joyfully proclaim:”The Lord is risen indeed”!

HAVE A BLESSED EASTER!
